Eddy Current
Although not as widely
utilized as the other methods, eddy current can be used to detect defects, sort
material, test thickness and test conductivity on a wide variety of materials.
Chiller system tubing is easily tested using this method. Eddy Current inspection is used to locate defects in non-ferrous tubing. Primary applications include chilled water units, turbine condensors, Welding Inspection, and material sorting.
